B&B "il Portico", warm and friendly hospitality in Cilento.

Il Portico is in the heart of Stio’s historic centre, in a peaceful pedestrianised area, yet free on-street parking is available for guests nearby (approximately 100 metres away).

Guests also have free use of WIFI.

The B&B is within easy walking distance of 3 bars, a restaurant and various village shops (including food shops).

The building has been in Adele’s family for several generations, and has been beautifully restored by her, with special attention paid to retaining original features and reviving antique furniture wherever possible.

The structure of the house, which dates back to the eighteenth century, with its high ceilings and ample rooms, bears testimony to its rural past.

The bedrooms

The guest bedrooms are on the first floor. A door leads to a small private landing off which are two bedrooms and a bathroom with shower.
As guests you will have exclusive access to this area, so no other guests will be sharing it with you.
The rooms are either let as one double or twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom, or as a family room, one double and one twin, with en-suite bathroom.
If you book the double room, for example, Adele guarantees that the twin room will remain empty during your entire stay, allowing you total privacy.

Guests also have access to a large sitting room as well as a sunny terrace equipped with furniture. There is a working stone fireplace in the sitting room and central heating throughout the house, for the winter months.

Downstairs, the entrance leads into a large, partially covered, courtyard. On the ground floor there is a large room that is sometimes used for textile workshops, art exhibitions and other cultural events.
Rooms are serviced daily, towels are provided and bedding is changed as appropriate during longer stays. Adele respects the environment in her choice of cleaning products and washing detergents, as well as decorating materials, using exclusively eco-friendly paint and gloss.

Breakfast

Great care is taken in the choice of breakfast products. Yoghurts, butter, preserves and cheeses are sourced from small local producers who are committed to the highest levels of quality the national park has to offer.

Drinks, such as teas, herbal infusions, coffee, milk and juices, are also chosen with great attention to their quality and are, wherever possible, organic and FairTrade. All cereals are organic.
